Terms of Service
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SubsHub ("the service"), operated by SubsHub. By creating an account or using the service in any other way you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What SubsHub does
SubsHub is a tool for tracking software subscriptions, the payment accounts they bill against, the identities used to sign in to them, and the renewals coming due. It is an organisational and decision-support tool. It does not authorise, execute, or block any actual financial transaction on your behalf.
Eligibility & account
- You must be at least 16 years old (or older if your jurisdiction sets a higher age of digital consent) to use SubsHub.
- One account per natural person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information.
Tiers, pricing, and billing
Tiers
- Pro trial - granted automatically on signup. 7 days, 3-subscription cap, full Pro feature set. No card required. Auto-downgrades to Free at the end of the period - no auto-charge, no surprise tier change.
- Free - no time limit, 3-subscription cap, 1 payment account, 1 identity, basic renewal reminders. Advanced features (wallet pivot, FX refresh, bulk ops, rotation tracking, attribution, criticality, decision history) are not included.
- Pro - full feature set, unlimited subscriptions, accounts, identities. Currently $8 USD / month intro pricing; regular price $10 USD / month. Both are tax-inclusive where required.
Billing
- Pro is billed monthly through Stripe. SubsHub does not see, store, or process card details directly.
- Charges recur on the same calendar day each month until the subscription is cancelled.
- Failed payments are retried by Stripe per their automatic dunning. If all retries fail, your account downgrades to Free; existing data is preserved.
- Tax handling follows Stripe's tax rules for your billing country. The displayed price is tax-inclusive where applicable.
Cancellation & refunds
- Cancel any time from Settings → Billing inside the app.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your access continues uninterrupted until that date.
- Per the in-app cancel flow, your saved card details are removed immediately on cancellation. If you change your mind during the remaining period, the "Resume" action requires you to add a payment method again.
- No proration on cancellation. You keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds. We do not generally issue refunds for partial periods. For duplicate charges, fraudulent activity, or material service failure, contact
legal@subshub.iowithin 30 days; refunds are issued at our discretion.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the service - denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping, brute-force credential testing, reverse engineering of the application or its APIs.
- Upload illegal content, or use the service for illegal activities.
- Resell, sublicense, white-label, or otherwise commercialise the service or any part of it without our written permission.
- Impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation with anyone, or use the service to harass, defame, or surveil others.
- Attempt to access another user's account or circumvent the row-level security and tier enforcement that gates feature access.
We reserve the right to investigate and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
Your data & intellectual property
Your content
- You retain ownership of the data you enter - subscriptions, payment-account metadata, identity records, notes, decisions, all of it.
- You grant SubsHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit, and display your data only to the extent necessary to operate the service for you (including running the renewals queue, computing attention items, sending you reminders).
- You confirm that you have the right to upload the identity and payment-account metadata you record - for example, that the email addresses are yours, or that you have permission from the cardholder for any household / shared cards you enter.
Our content
- The SubsHub service, source code (where proprietary), brand, logo, name, design, and documentation are the property of SubsHub and protected by intellectual property laws.
- Your account grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the service as described in these Terms. It does not grant any licence to copy, modify, or distribute the service.
Service availability
- We aim for high availability but do not currently provide a formal uptime guarantee or service-level agreement. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where practical.
- We may add, remove, or change features over time. Material changes that reduce functionality are communicated to active users with reasonable notice.
- The service depends on third-party providers (Supabase, Stripe, Google, Azure, Netlify during transition). Outages on their side may cause partial or total unavailability of SubsHub.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, SubsHub disclaims all warranties, express or implied - including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
SubsHub is an organisational tool. It does not constitute financial, accounting, legal, security, or tax advice, and decisions you make based on what the app shows you (cancellations, renewals, rotations) are your own.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SubsHub and its operators, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages - including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or damages arising from missed renewals or surprise charges - even if advised of the possibility.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you have paid SubsHub for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental damages; in those jurisdictions our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Termination
- By you - at any time, by cancelling your subscription (Pro) and/or requesting account deletion at
legal@subshub.io. - By us - for material breach of these Terms, with at least 14 days written notice (sent to your account email). For fraud, illegal use, or behaviour that puts other users or the service at risk, termination may be immediate.
- On termination we will delete your data within 30 days unless retention is required by law (for example, billing records that Stripe must retain for compliance).
Modifications to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes (price increases, scope of processing, jurisdiction), we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the courts of the United Arab Emirates, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
